Damilola has 9 years experience in the practice of law and is a part of the firm's corporate, banking, maritime and tax groups. She has extensive experience in matters relating to capital market operations, corporate finance, international business transactions, tax advisory services as well as oil and gas operations in Nigeria. Prior to joining the firm, Dami practised with Templars, Barristers and Solicitors (Nigeria) and the Bailey Law Group (USA).
She obtained her law degree from the University of Buckingham (UK) and holds a Master's degree from the Harvard Law School (USA). She is licensed to practice in the United States of America (1999) and Nigeria (2003).
Recent Projects:
- Advising a major international seismic data acquisition company on compliance issues related to its maritime operations in Nigeria;
- Advising a major Nigerian financial institution in its proposed business combination with another entity;
- Advising a major international engineering, procurement and construction company in its business activities in Nigeria;
- Acting as local counsel to an international Export Credit Agency on certain matters relating to a syndicated term loan to a major Nigerian Bank;
- Representing a major insurance company its capitalization efforts by way of issuing equity & debt instruments;
- Advising the issuer in the offer of a mixed debt & equity mutual fund.
