Adeoye Adefulu.

Adeoye has over 10 years experience in the general practice of law. He has particular expertise in matters pertaining to Energy law, Corporate and Project Finance, International Trade, Environmental & Corporate Social Responsibility. Prior to joining the firm, Adeoye lectured at the University of Stirling in Scotland and also had a stint with CMS Cameron McKenna (London).
He obtained his law degree from the University of Lagos and holds Master's and Doctorate degrees from the Centre for Energy & Petroleum and Mineral Law Policy (CEPMLP) University of Dundee. His Doctorate research focused on Regulation of National Interests Post-Privatisation. Adeoye has published several papers in international journals including the International Energy Law and Taxation Review and the Oil, Gas and Energy law Intelligence.
Recent Projects:
- Advising a major Nigerian financial institution in a potential acquisition;
- Advising the Federal Government of Nigeria on the privatization of 8 Liquefied Petroleum Gas Depots;
- Advising a major international energy trading outfit on potential criminal and civil liability for an oil spill in Nigerian waters;
- Advising a major LNG trading outfit on potential liability for an LNG or bunker fuel spill in Nigeria;
- Advising two major Nigerian oil companies in their joint bid for 2 oil blocks in Nigeria’s May 2007 oil bid round;
- Advising a major international exploration and production company on some of its property acquisitions in Nigeria;
- Structuring and drafting Nigeria’s first securitization law on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria;
- Advising the local subsidiary of a major international cement company on its property portfolio and the perfection of any defective titles;
- Advising an international oil service company on starting up in Nigeria.
